EMPTY FACES
A quiet wish to belong
It fascinates me how mannequins are looking into the world, without expression. In their silent world they seem to want human contact. Their expressionless faces conceal the desires and emotions, as if they want to be seen in a world that passes by without a moment of acknowledgment.
For me they represent the moments when it is hard to connect to life and other people, the moments of loneliness. It is about mental health.
Made in the space between seeing and being seen.
